Arandel L’Heure du Loup (Edit)Watch at the source
On “L’Heure du Loup (Edit)”, French composer and producer Arandel folds the language of Baroque music into a distinctly contemporary electronic form. Born from an improvisation on positive organ, the piece unfolds through harpsichord, strings and winds, analogue synths, spectral choirs and the syncopated drumming of Louis Delorme. Acoustic timbres surface and dissolve inside electronics, shaping a strange baroque-progressive music poised somewhere between chamber composition and experimental electronica. Named after the darkest hours before dawn when sleep is deepest and dreams most vivid “L’Heure du Loup” captures that liminal state between night and day, sleep and waking, presence and disappearance.
