ÄTNA WeirdoWatch at the source
It reminds you briefly of Berlin's Tresor in the 90s, of the Chemical Brothers' disruptive beats, playfully combining them with Afrobeat and the New Orleans marching band sound of MEUTE.
ÄTNA immerse crafting organic beats enhanced with delicate effects and an utterly unique kind of voice, channeling vocals and piano into surreal elegies. When you listen closely, the songs they produce are imbued with an incomprehensible magic that defies all conventions, singular in style and execution. They blend art pop, futuristic indietronica, lush rhythms, and glorious vocals.
When the bass drops and the confetti blows up: MEUTE breaks the code. The Techno Marching Band combines hypnotic driving techno and expressive brass band music, freeing electronic music from the DJ desk and overhauling the image of marching bands. Just drums and brass, no computers involved, this is all they need to revolutionize techno music and bring it back to its roots at the same time.
Very special thanks to crew Festspielhaus Hellerau:
