Billy Idol Dancing With MyselfWatch at the source
Originally released by Generation X in 1980, Billy Idol remixed and re-released "Dancing With Myself" as a solo single in 1981. The music video, directed by Tobe Hooper, features a post-apocalyptic cityscape inspired by the 1971 film *The Omega Man*. The video, which became a staple on MTV, helped launch Idol’s solo career in the United States. The track's infectious energy and rebellious spirit made it an enduring hit of the 80s.
