Place Memory keeps the visuals understated and atmospheric, using a calm, cinematic style that supports Cape Crush’s tone and emotional pull.
Official Music Video for "Place Memory," by Cape Crush.
“Place Memory” is the second single and title track from Cape Crush’s forthcoming debut album, out May 1 on Wanna Hear It Records.
The visual was filmed at DIY/all-ages music venue Moon Base One in Salem, not far from the Massachusetts power-emo band’s home base of Beverly. Alex Ilyadis served as Camera 1 operator and editor, and Dream Drop Media served as Camera 2 operator and gaffer.
“‘Place Memory’ is probably the song that best encapsulates the overall sound of ‘Place Memory’, the album. It’s a driving power-pop song with a big sing-along chorus. It’s got big guitars, big vocal harmonies, and a big group-sing at the end. If someone asked what we sound like and I could only show them one song, it would be this one.” — Ali Lipman
