Cosmic Gate -- The Drums
(2011 Remixes) Markus Schulz & Robbie Rivera Remixes Taken from the forthcoming album 'Back 2 The Future
- The Classics From 1999-2003 Remixed' Through Black Hole Recordings, December 6th, 2010

With 'Exploration of Space' and 'Back To Earth' currently occupying the top 2 positions on the Beatport trance chart, its time for 'The Drums' - Cosmic Gate's first ever release -- to become the third track to line up for a big remix-revamp. This time the track comes to you with a distinct Miami connection as, quite by chance, two of the city's best-known production minds both elected to revisit the track. Live in the same metropolis they might, but style-wise what they've done to C.G.s 1999 career-launcher is worlds apart. Markus Schulz programs together bellicose beats, snares, rim-shots and modulating synths to start the pressure levels rising. Interlocking them with pulsating bass, whip-smart key changes and 'The Drum's Force 10, fierce-as-hell lead riff, his remix is set to rain trance fire onto the dancefloors throughout the coming months... With his Juicy Mofo Mix, Robbie Rivera rebuilds 'The Drums' from a different point of view, lowering the tempo and trucking in feisty synth stabs and hard-hitting distortion... Riding a top rocking beats the warping FX storm builds and builds, creating equal amounts of mayhem for the bouncier, housier floors.
