Derrick D’MAR Martin Never SeenWatch at the source

"Never Seen" is all about that electrifying moment when someone walks onto the dance floor and completely captivates everyone in the room.

It celebrates a woman whose movement is so effortless and magnetic that she becomes the heartbeat of the party. Her confidence isn't forced, it flows naturally, and every step she takes tells its own story.

From the opening rap, "Move like smoke, she glides through the air," I wanted listeners to immediately picture someone whose presence transforms the room. She's graceful, powerful, fearless, and completely in her element. The music becomes an extension of who she is.

When I sing, "I never seen nothing like that," it's more than admiration for someone's beauty. It's about being amazed by someone whose energy, confidence, charisma, and spirit make them unforgettable. We've all encountered people who simply have that "it" factor, and this song is a celebration of that rare kind of presence.

Musically, I wanted "Never Seen" to be one of the most energetic tracks on the album. Blending funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, and dance grooves, the song is designed to make people move while capturing the excitement of witnessing something extraordinary. Voss delivers dynamic rap verses that amplify the energy, while The Nu Funk Society drives the record with a groove that refuses to let up.

At its heart, "Never Seen" is about celebrating confidence. It's about the freedom to express yourself without apology. It's about those rare moments when someone reminds us that music isn't just something we hear... It's something we become.
