Elliott Smith Son Of SamWatch at the source
Elliott Smith's “Son of Sam” was an opening track off of the 2000 album Figure 8. Though the song’s title implies that it is about the serial killer David Berkowitz, a serial killer who became known as “Son of Sam” after murdering six people, Smith himself stated in a contemporaneous interview that this was not the case.
