Francis Karel Purple SkiesWatch at the source

I’m a Jakarta-born singer-songwriter and producer who spent several years building my career in the US, where I released two EPs and several singles, while writing and collaborating with international artists including Jin (BTS), SHINee, Colton Dixon, Drew Louis, Louis Knight, and Seven Lions.

Now I’m back in Indonesia, and #PurpleSkies marks a new chapter for me. It’s my first fully self-written and self-produced song since returning home, inspired by that one feeling you can’t quite explain—the warmth of a moment you can’t get back, but somehow finds its way back to you anyway.

It’s not really about being sad or moving on. It’s about the good stuff hitting you again, unexpectedly. That feeling of reconnecting with something beautiful you once felt, and realizing some feelings are worth experiencing again and again.

And I get to share this chapter with my younger sisters, Maura Gabriella and Michelle Karla, who are releasing their debut singles, “Read The Sign” and “Digital Pillow Talk,” alongside me. Three siblings, three sounds, three stories—one release day.

This is my first chapter back home. Hope “Purple Skies” hits differently for you too. Enjoy!
