Fugees Fu-Gee-LaWatch at the source

Fu-Gee-La is one of the most iconic tracks by the Fugees, released in 1996 as part of their critically acclaimed album *The Score*. Produced by Salaam Remi, the song features a blend of hip-hop with reggae influences, backed by a sample of Teena Marie’s "Ooo La La La." The song’s lyrics reflect the group’s experiences with adversity and survival, blending Lauryn Hill’s powerful vocals with the dynamic rap verses of Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel. The music video, directed by Guy Guillet, shows the Fugees on the run in a tropical setting, adding a cinematic feel to the song.
