Future Islands GlimpseWatch at the source

Glimpse, released in September 2024, is a haunting and reflective single by Future Islands. Recorded during the sessions for their seventh album “People Who Aren't There Anymore”, the song delves into themes of personal loss and collective memory, centering around a family home burning down. Its emotive lyrics, paired with the band's signature synth-driven sound, offer a poignant exploration of coming to terms with physical and emotional erasure. The animated music video, directed by Jayla Smith, complements these themes with striking imagery.
