Jake Bugg BrokenWatch at the source

Broken is one of Jake Bugg’s most emotionally resonant songs, originally featured on his 2012 self-titled debut album. Re-released as a single on June 21, 2013, the track was re-recorded with legendary producer Rick Rubin, enriching its already haunting atmosphere. Featuring a slow build of strings and raw vocals, the song explores themes of heartache, vulnerability, and redemption. The music video, directed by Andrew Douglas, was released a day earlier and captures the melancholic tone with elegant simplicity. Set in dimly lit environments, it mirrors the introspective nature of Bugg’s songwriting and performance.
