K. Michelle Just Ain’t My DayWatch at the source

K Michelle's video for "Just Ain't My Day" takes place in Downtown Los Angeles. I directed it after getting a phone call from her team. She had seen my fashion film for Eva Pigford Marcille and loved the simplicity of it, that beauty best resonates from simplicity.

K Michelle called me and we had a discussion over the phone. I wanted her to change her look, let me have control over that and she agreed. In fact she was on the same page already. I wanted a video that focused on her beauty and got exactly that.
