Kendra Morris Something In CommonWatch at the source

Song number five on the board of the upcoming Kendra Morris album and game.... 'Next'.

Something In Common,' off Kendra Morris's forthcoming board game concept album 'Next,' is the most introspective track. It was written by Morris one afternoon with just her guitar and a looped Wurlitzer sample playing the same chords on repeat. Kendra then layered her vocals to support the power within the lyrics. "It didn’t need anything else," she explains. When formally in the Portage Lounge studio in Loveland, Ohio, the full band got involved. Monti played the Wurlitzer stabs, with Premo performing the guitar parts on Terry’s (aka co-producer Leroi Conroy) classic Nylon string guitar. The looped drum machine sequence slowly intensifies like a heartbeat. Kendra's tender and haunting vocals sit on top with the guys singing her vocal arrangement in the background. And that is it.

"There are no winners or losers. In the end, we’re all the same:... "
