Kiiara's breakout single "Gold" introduced her distinctive glitch-pop sound to the music scene, blending minimalist electropop with trap influences. Released on October 26, 2015, as part of her debut EP *Low Kii Savage*, the track features chopped vocal samples and a sparse yet infectious beat. The music video, directed by David Helman, complements the song's edgy aesthetic with moody visuals and abstract imagery. "Gold" achieved commercial success, peaking at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning multi-platinum certifications in several countries.
