Marta Del Grandi AmethystWatch at the source

In the Greek myth the beautiful maiden Amethyst, pursued and chased by the god of wine Bacchus, prays to the goddess of the hunt, Diana, to protect her from him and turn her into stone. As Bacchus witnesses the transformation, moved by compassion, he pours wine onto the stone that becomes the purple quartz amethyst.

Inspired by this story, the music video for Amethyst was shot in Valle Verzasca (Switzerland), where a crystal clear river flows on a bed of metamorphosed rocks, a remnant of the collision between the African and Eurasian plate that led to the formation of the Alps.
