Matt Ellis Thank You Los AngelesWatch at the source

The first video off Matt Ellis’ new album, “The Greatest Escape”, is now available. “Thank You Los Angeles” is a nod to Ellis’ current home base in California and comes from the unique perspective of an Australian songwriter living in the U.S.

“I think every hometown deserves a song, especially after a decade of experiences. L.A. grows on you in strange ways. I mean its beauty isn’t on the surface, and you’ve just got to take the good with the bad”

The clip was directed by Phil Harder (Afghan Wigs, Low, Prince) and shot by J.D. Narro over two afternoons cruising around L.A. in a 1972 Buick Skylark Convertible.

Thank you to Shane Barach, J.D. Narro, Phil Harder, Hernan Barangan, Scott Passaglia, Vavine Tahapehi, and David Chontos. This clip wouldn’t have been possible without you.
