Maxwell Sumthin’ Sumthin’Watch at the source

Maxwell’s “Sumthin’ Sumthin’” is a quietly seductive neo‑soul anthem from his debut album “Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite” (1996), showcasing his smooth falsetto, slinky groove and the signature line “Honey Dew Chocolate Dumplin’.” The official video, directed by Matthew Rolston, captures Maxwell cruising urban nightscapes and performing in moody lighting—a visual that helped cement his voice and style in the late‑’90s neo‑soul movement.
