ROBERT CRAY Official music video for PUSH THROUGHWatch at the source

"PUSH THROUGH" is the powerful first single from five-time Grammy winner and Blues Hall of Famer Robert Cray’s highly anticipated new album, All Over Again (available February 12th 27).

Recorded live at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, the track sets a sharp spotlight on the urgent anxieties of our current political moment. Prompted by a deep-seated anger at the administration’s efforts to turn back the clock on civil rights, Cray uses his music to deliver a timely call to action: urging fellow Americans to "get out on the street, vote, take a stand," while remaining calm, focused, and motivated by the historical struggles of the generations before us.

The Musicians & Production

Produced by longtime collaborator and legendary Rolling Stones drummer Steve Jordan, and engineered by Dave O,Donnell, All Over Again pushes Cray’s signature sound deep into timeless southern soul territory.

This intimate, behind-the-scenes music video offers an exclusive look into the raw creative magic of the FAME tracking sessions. This footage was shot, and edited by Robert’s wife and manager, Sue Turner-Cray, Turner-Cray Inc, Productions, documenting a monumental, full-circle musical homecoming.

"1965, when voting rights for black people were enacted, wasn’t that long ago," Cray notes. "I turned 12 that year, my parents were finally able to vote. I’m not the first to write these types of songs. But I know why they are written—it’s just too bad that we have to."
