Runkus x Toddla T GARRISONWatch at the source

The official music video for Runkus x Toddla T “GARRISON”

“Living in a country like Jamaica and being exposed to different sides of life, I learnt quickly from a young age that the whole world is a Garrison for we all share collective struggles so in this song I sang a ballad-styled love song to the Garrison whilst warning the youths of the dangers and showing them Duality. A place we love and at the same time, most fear.” Runkus states while, spaced out on guitar looking out into the street.

The second half of “GARRISON” aided by a smooth transition by Mr. Lexx speaks to the hype, gritty, street dancehall nature of this place. With stellar production from Toddla T and Runkus sampling a song from the original Xterminator Records catalogue, we see Runkus’ lyricism, style, wit and charisma shine throughout whilst channeling the joys and struggles of the Garrison, this is a record for you no matter who you are or where you’re from.

Shot and edited by Fernando Hervia, the goal of the video was to capture all these sentiments visually. With strong cinematography and high energy performance, we brought our Garrison to you.
