SEVDALIZA HABIBIWatch at the source
Sevdaliza's 'Habibi' is a haunting exploration of self-identity and emotional resilience. Co-directed by Sevdaliza and Anastasia Konovalova under their creative duo sevda+ana, the black-and-white visual delves into themes of invisibility and introspection. The music video, released on August 26, 2020, complements the atmospheric tones of the track, which is part of her critically acclaimed album 'Shabrang'.
Habibi marks the Iranian-Dutch artist’s directorial debut, and chronicles her journey to take back her power and redefine herself against the numerous forces in her life. The “Habibi” video is also an introduction to her new directorial partnership with Anastasia Konovalova, sevda+ana — billed as “a powerhouse female visionary duo that will continue to produce select branded and passion projects, in addition to Sevdaliza’s own work.
”Habibi represents the animal nature inside us, that we have to learn to control".
Taken off the record "Shabrang"
