Stromae ave cesariaWatch at the source
Stromae’s 2013 single “ave cesaria” turns a tribute to Cesaria Evora, the Cape Verdean “Diva aux pieds nus,” into bright, off-kilter French pop with a dance-floor pulse. Taken from racine carrée and directed by Henry Scholfield, it balances affection and movement with Stromae’s sharp art-pop instinct.
