Taylor Swift I Knew You Were TroubleWatch at the source

A bold departure from her country roots, “I Knew You Were Trouble” blends pop-rock with dubstep influences, capturing the turmoil of a toxic relationship. Released on December 13, 2012, as the third single from her album *Red*, the song showcases Swift's genre experimentation. The music video, directed by Anthony Mandler, features a narrative of a young woman reflecting on a passionate but destructive romance, with actor Reeve Carney portraying the love interest. The video’s raw aesthetic and Swift's compelling performance earned it the MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video in 2013.
