The All Seeing I Beat Goes OnWatch at the source
The All Seeing I were an English electronic music trio formed in the 1990s by Dean Honer, Jason Buckle, and Richard Barrett. Blending electronic, pop, and trip-hop influences, they gained acclaim with their 1999 album Pickled Eggs & Sherbet and singles including Walk Like a Panther with Tony Christie (co-written by Jarvis Cocker), The Beat Goes On, and 1st Man in Space with Phil Oakey of The Human League.
The trio also produced and remixed for artists including Britney Spears and Moloko, while Richard Barrett has since found success with his electronic project Crooked Man. Released in 1998, The Beat Goes On became the group's breakthrough hit, reaching No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart and bringing the previously behind-the-scenes Sheffield collective into the national spotlight.
Originally developed from a remix of a Sonny Bono song using vocals by Buddy Rich's daughter Cathy Rich, its memorable video captured the hazy atmosphere of post-club mornings and helped cement the song as a late-1990s club anthem.
