Whirring is a dynamic track by Welsh alternative rock band The Joy Formidable, initially released in May 2009 on their debut EP, *A Balloon Called Moaning*, and later re-released on their first full-length album, *The Big Roar*, in 2011. The song is renowned for its explosive energy and layered guitar work, earning it the No. 68 spot on Pitchfork's Top 100 Tracks of 2011. The accompanying music video, directed by Christopher Mills, presents a surreal narrative featuring the band exploring a mysterious house filled with cats, adding a whimsical visual element to the song's intense soundscape.
