the Mountain Goats This YearWatch at the source
The Mountain Goats’ “This Year” turns survival into a stubborn singalong, pairing driving folk-rock with John Darnielle’s unmistakably urgent delivery. Taken from 2005’s The Sunset Tree, it finds hope without softening the hard edges—a bruised but fiercely defiant song about getting through. Andy Bruntel directs the video.
