Infected by The The is a standout track from their critically acclaimed album of the same name, released on November 17, 1986. The music video, directed by Peter Christopherson, features a series of provocative and surreal visuals that match the song's intense and politically charged lyrics. The album "Infected" is known for its dark and aggressive tone, capturing the socio-political climate of the Thatcher/Reagan era. This track, along with its powerful video, helped solidify The The's place in the alternative rock scene of the 1980s.
