For generations, Kashmir’s artisans have carried the soul of their homeland through every delicate stitch. With patience, love, and devotion, their hands have created heirlooms admired across the world , while their own stories have too often remained unseen and their work undervalued.
AAGAZ is a tribute to the hands, hearts, and heritage behind every creation.
An initiative by Kashmir Box × Yawar Abdal, AAGAZ is created to help increase artisans’ incomes by 2.5 times, honour the skill and dignity of their craft, and nurture a future in which their traditions can continue to flourish.
This is a small start, but we are hopeful more stakeholders shall join this mission to take Kashmir crafts to the global stage while making sure the Artisans also have a dignified living and recognition.
Because every piece of heritage carries a human story and the hands that preserve it deserve our gratitude, respect, opportunity, and a better future.
This is AAGAZ. A heartfelt tribute to the people who keep Kashmir’s legacy alive and a new beginning for generations to come.

Dar chaman bulbul chu toshaan lolle chui aalaw dewaan, Lolle kar aagaz lolas lol tsey gas bhaegraan
In the garden, Bulbul sings, love calls for you!
Haaro baseerat khud shanasi ishq deta hai Ab dil se haaro dil ki wussat ishq deta hai Dasht har ek samt hassti, ishq tanha saaribaan
Give up the inner eye, for love bestows the knowledge of self. Surrender your heart, for love endows the heart’s breadth. Life, a desert in all directions, love; the lone cameleer.
