Released on August 17, 2009, as the second single from her album "Revolution," the song narrates a tale of confronting a deceitful partner. The accompanying music video, directed by Chris Hicky, features Lambert exposing her unfaithful groom at the altar, culminating in a twist ending. The video includes a cameo by country singer Jamey Johnson as the preacher. "White Liar" became Lambert's first Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, peaking at number 2, and earned her the ACM Award for Video of the Year in 2010.
