Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers Mary Jane’s Last DanceWatch at the source

Mary Jane's Last Dance, released in 1993 on the *Greatest Hits* album, became one of Tom Petty’s iconic tracks with its haunting melody and mysterious lyrics. Produced by Rick Rubin, Tom Petty, and Mike Campbell, the song reflects themes of change, nostalgia, and letting go. Directed by Keir McFarlane, the memorable video stars Kim Basinger as a corpse whom Petty’s character takes from a morgue for a final “date,” adding a dark cinematic layer to the song.
